Having just suffered another needless intervention by the all-seeing, all-knowing Bracks Police-state Apparatus (speed cameras mounted on traffic lights – who knew?), I was tickled to read this in the
VACC’s Auto Industry News:
A highway patrol pulled over a WorkCover Inspector for doing 68kph in a 60 zone in Tullamarine, Victoria. The WorkCover Inspector said nothing as he reluctantly accepted the fine. The policeman finished writing the ticket and proceeded back to his car. The WorkCover Inspector in the meantime pulled a digital camera out of his bag, photographed the office and proceeded to the police car where he issued the officer with an $800 fine for not wearing his high-visibility vest when leaving his vehicle in a high traffic area.

Sadly not true, at least in Vic. You can use Google to trace it back a couple of years to northern NSW. It's also on the Submariners Assn Website and a couple of car sites.
